Fungal Foray from Hilltop Farm

The Lincolnshire countryside and woodlands around Hilltop Farm provide good hunting for fungi at this time of year and we had plenty of interesting finds on a recent visit to a nearby woodland. This species is Clouded Agaric (Clytocybe nebularis) and was quite abundant in early November. Fungi are great to photograph since they provide interest to autumnal scenes and they don't move!

Hill Top Farm

Hilltop Farm is a tastefully modernised large property, converted from an original brick makers cottage. It sits in its own one acre landscaped grounds and is centred on an area of special landscape value on the Lincolnshire Cliff Edge. Views can be had far over towards the Trent Valley for up to 25 miles and beyond on a clear day.

The property has many interesting features. The downstairs reflects the character of the original brick cottage. There is a conservatory entrance hall.

The large, fully equipped, kitchen diner is ideal for up to six people. The adjacent large lounge has a door, opening out into an inner garden enclosure and patio facing south. The separate utility room and toilet is of high quality, modern and very practical, again fully equipped.
